Yep, there is a staging area before the trailhead where we park the trailers.

1) If you don't mind taking your rig down a few miles of hwy back to the staging area, you can run the second half of the trail and then run down a few miles of highway back to the tow rigs.

2) If you don't want to take your rig on the pavement at all, you can double back the way you came in after camping.

3) OR, you can explore the second half of the trail while camped at the lake, then run back to camp. it will make for a long day, but will allow you to run back out the way you came without hitting the pavement. (Several rigs did this last year).

I would say yes, but bad language, drinking and late nights are common. The campsite at Grouse is big enough for everyone to enjoy without problems.

I wasn't really looking for a family event, but more of a martini trail ride. Not that I don't like family stuff, but I will be getting back from a 2 week family vacation that Friday and will need a vacation from vacation.

I'm still confused, is there going to be a shit ton of kids running around or is this a party at Grouse?

my grandfather left me a bunch of fishing gear, but i don't fish.
i'm now 52 years old, and thinking, maybe, i could relax on the shore
with a cocktail, and do a little fishin.
my 2 younger boys have ransacked all of the lures-n-stuff,
but there are some very nice old school rods & reels, some
with cork handles.
i'll have to get em down from the attic, and check em out.
i'm sure i'll need a license, but most of all, i'll need some pointers
