A few of the URF gang were calling Goatman "GMFU" after taking chris out there. I know a few others of URF have taken people out there as guests, but nothing was really said to them so it's just a blatant double standard. Certainly you don't want to burn any bridges with these people.

Jesus brad. I said I don't worship these guys. One of Roger's posts said that he doesn't want any drama. At first I was simply suggesting a way to not draw any drama amongst us. Like Jeremy said, go find them. It won't be hard if you give a good day of hunting. All I am simply suggesting is that when you do find them don't go running your mouth off to everyone and their mom about where they are, and certainly don't go dragging Chris or Richard into it if you do go running your mouth off about where the trails are.

This is BLM land. I believe it is mine, as I pay taxes. Fuck the people that want to keep me from what's mine.

Brad as for naxja there are people on there that most look up to as "gods". What they say is written in stone and they know what is best for you and your family and therefor you better listen to them.

I've pissedoff a lot of people on naxja by not bowing down to them lol

WTF??

Why all the negative IOR self talk? I get around quit a bit and I don't hear negative comments about IOR, if you really think that then you're likely making up your own negative image.

No, actually, we've been wanting to plan an IOR trip over there, it just hasn't happened yet. Lately it's been too hot, no one goes in the summer time. Travis, thanks, but I really don't need anyone to defend me or represent me, nor do my URF friends. We don't care who goes there, we just ask that you don't plaster it all over the internet. One of the reasons to not make it too publicly known is because we'd rather not let it be known that there is an alternative to Johnson Valley while the fight to save JV is going on. We're making the point that there is no other place like JV, and while Ridgecrest isn't, because it's the second largest OHV area in CA (2nd to JV) it could be construed as an alternative which could be bad for the JV fight. So, go find the trails, just don't make a big internet deal about it.

We'll get over there. There's getting to be enough capable IOR rigs to plan a trip. However, I do ask that the location is reasonably protected in trip reports.

Sorry, don't know where this came from, but not true. The whole attitude represented here is nonsense. Chris hasn't had anything said to him, and a little teasing I've taken is good natured friendly bullshit among friends, just like we have going on in this very thread. I'm part of URF, which is just a group of long time friends, and the whole URF thing is a big joke, kind of an inside joke of sorts.

There's good reason to not broadcast the locations of these trails. Plenty of people have gone, we've taken plenty of people, but they respectfully and wisely keep it relatively quiet. Let's plan a trip. You all know me, and this area is kind of a networking thing, so let's go. But, please don't have the attitude that this is public land and everyone should know about it and be able to go there. Once you go, you'll know why.
