Calico Halloween Run 2012

Postby Zak.Taylor » August 30th, 2012, 8:04 am

Have we not started planning yet? This is one of my favorite, family friendly runs.

Halloween is on a Wednesday, so let's go the 26-28th (Fri-Sun).

Trick or treating and costumes for the kids!!!

Who's on board?

Attending:
Zak, Katie and brats.
2013 Jeep JKUR on 35" Kanati Trail Hogs, 2.5" Rough Country coil lift
2006 Yamaha Rhino 660 on 28" BajaCross, with winch.
2008 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 CTD leveled with 20's and 35's.
Some boom toys here and there too.

Lol very true. So you magnum (big rubber) guys are hitting calico on the 20th eh? Any problem with those of us on puny 35's camping with y'all and wishing you well on your BRC trail runs, but not tagging along and holding you back on the trails????

I am starting my own club.... The Little Rubber Crew.

This club will be for all the fags that are tired of hearing over and over about the BRC. Those guys are a bag of dicks anyhow. So.... who's with me?

We are not camping, just doing a quick day run (trust me, it is possible ). Up gatekeeper and out scrambler only takes a few hours with solid rigs on big tires. We may play around on some bonus obstacles if the guys in the buggies really push us. Your more than welcome to come watch us do gatekeeper, but thats probably gonna be over quick. I may have a spare seat for you if my son doesn't go.

4x4him will be out there the 19th-21st. You know the Cooks, they are good people. Just don't plan on getting Nekid around the fire with a bottle of Jack (IOR style), save that for my Halloween party :lol3:

Ok here are my thoughts just my opinion as with my schedule right now, im just participating.

Calico has the halloween event starting on,the 19th, that means al the actors are there and the shows for kids are going.

chris is having a haloween party on the.27th which im sure a few at minimum ior are attending

I would suggest organizing calico for the.weekend.of.the 20th, run the.trails on saturday, camp out fri/sat, take kids to ghost town on sunday or even sat evening if back from trails soon enough

As brad said, its a 3.5hr for him and im sure he and others that are going to be there may be prepared to camp just in case it becomes a long day

We actually wont have the kids this weekend but already habe other plans for them the following weekend

In all fairness and my honest opinion there is no reason I can think of.that in the.spirit of ior that dual planning or runs cant happen at the same time and place,

Its growth of ior and growth of enthusiasim is great

We were going to plan this run again this year but our work and personal schedules have forced.us.to take a following role for now

Thanks Zak for picking this up as it is and will continue to be one are favorite trips all.year the mix of.trails, kids smiles, and great camping leaves us talking about for months afterwords

Thanks DD, yes we have plans to be in Calico from Friday the 19th to Sunday the 21st. Our plan is the wheel Friday afternoon, and Saturday then hit the Ghost town for some breakfast and hanging out on Sunday before heading home. Anyone is welcome, from stock to built, there is something out there for everyone to run.

Unfortunately, I didn't get much interest in going earlier on. I could do an overnight on Saturday night. I's anybody else interested? We'd be tent camping in the jk

WTF..... you LRC guys need to get more organized! I am still camping out there.... you LRC guys that are too afraid to pipe up.... I'll likely be in Mule near where we always camp. I won't tell Zak that you came. Otherwise, I guess I'll be blowing up my own Sobe bombs and celebrate the IOR traditional Halloween all by myself.
