Doing a Big Bear run on 13-14 AUG. The plan is to meet at the Discovery Center in Big Bear at 8am and run Gold Moutain (3N69) John Bull (3N10) and Holcomb Creek (3N93) on the first day then find some place to camp and then run down Dishpan (3N34) and then find our way over to Claghorn and call it a day. You dont have to camp just come on up for the day if that all you can do. The one requriement that I have for your rig is a CB radio. These are some dificult trails and Im sure the strap will be used several time this trip. If you have any questions concerns complaints pm me. :salute: :camping: :drunkbuds:

Important the ventura chapter is going to meet at 6am Saturday at the shell station @ Victoria and the 101. That will mean the meeting time for the discovery center in big bear will be 930.

So its just gonna be the 3 of us? Everyone is to scared or going to Swamp Lake. Are we ever going to see Kirk's bad ass truck hit some real trails? Is GJs arm gonna be healed enough to drive, or are the 3 of us the only ones in the VC chapter that are willing to get our junk dirty??? :stirPot:

On a side note I tried to plan on a free weekend from any other runs but the stupid snow and to go and fawk that all up. :thefinger:

I told Randy about this, he might be down.... but has yet to commit.

I wonder what happened to Aldo.... he'd go I'd guess.

Bako.... not sure what's up with them. Scared? Probably.... scared of you Pete. Look what happened to Josh when you got a hold of him. I am not sure there is a purgatory worse than Bako.... where would they go to cleanse their souls after you've 'touched' them?

I bet Lorenzo might be down.

GJ is lame and will not go. He will either pretend he is working or hurting. He's a pavement princess!

Wait!!!

Have you cross posted this in the Bako forum? No one looks here but you and me. :furious:

And.... oh yeah. What about the nuts in the SGV? Tilly and Mark should be on this!!

Get to work beotch!

You'll need a tug in a few spots, but good trails to break in a NEWB.

Not a bad idea... I'll see if I can talk him out of the un-happiest place on Earth (for parents).... Mr. Toad's Wild Ride's got nothing on this shit :)

Yup... we can have a birthday party of sorts out there for him... at least a cake and candles. Singing. Plus... it'd be good to learn together. Hope you guys can come.

True .. a couple of spots on JB and one spot on Dishpan can be difficult. Most of it is very easy.

Thank god Grace aint old enough to want to go there if I hear its a small world one more time Im going postal. Wheeling and camping is a much better and cheaper (pending breakage) way to spend a b-day.

So After much research we cant camp on the side of the trail and have a fire wtf. So I need to know how many people are camping. Im gonna resurve spots at Crab Flats camp ground. I have heard that its nice. the only thing is its maximum 2 vehicles per site. So I need to know how many vehicels plan to camp so I can try and get us conected campsites. So post up please the sooner the better. Thanks.

Ok. so. i have to make a trip out to California for a weekend. i am going to try and plan it around this trip. if i get my JK add some good all-terrain tires you think it could do decent on the trail?? I have never been on this trail and i'm not going to be moving there yet so i would love a good chance of being able to drive back to Texas lol.

Since I dont know the total number of people coming Im got 3 sites so at least we can camp. We have a place to bed down. So its first come first serve for the rest of ya I have reservations for 3 more rigs.

Damn.... wish more would commit. Pete is just getting one spot per rig, but we can fit two.... so anyone that doesn't sign up now, will have a spot.... but that only leaves space for three additional rigs. Hope too many don't get interested later on.

Where the hell has K-Rich been?! :dontknow: I even had my friend hit him up about going to Big Bear, but haven't hear back...

probably scared of camping... or doesn't want to take his big bad truck out to something more respectable than the trails we ran on in Gorman. :stirPot:

So, I got a txt back from a friend who works with Kirk... said that it's too far and he'd have to trailer the chevy...

I offered him my flat bed trailer to tow with... he just needs to find a truck to tow with (as I dont have one).

If someone has a truck and trailer for me to use, I'll talk with my dad and see if he's interested!!

Gas and 40's are killer for this to commute.

I've have a trailer (how wide is truck? should fit between the wheel fenders on the trailer) But I don't have a truck to tow it with.

Stop being a pussy you should have known that every place good to wheels is a drive. So suck it up and drive or are you just a poser like every other lifted chevy in ventura and just using it as a penis compensater. :thefinger:
